A series of nouveau pictures I’m working through that relate to the heroines/favorite female characters of my childhood. (not strictly limited to cartoon, mostly 80’s and 90’s).

(if you don’t recognize Malta from Sea Prince and the Fire Child, that’s okay, but i suggest you look it up. It’s an old Sanrio movie and one of my childhood favorites.)

I made a fanbot :x If this continues I’m going to need to invest in a tablet. I got kind of lazy with coloring because it’s not the easiest on a trackpad.

She needs a name.

That one time I stayed up coloring in photoshop until almost 5 in the morning. (I’m too afraid to color it in real life.) And I really like that “cutout” effect. (It feels like I’m cheating at art, but that’s ok.)

I should be studying for my sociology test but I love this band too much. Well, actually I should be sleeping. Urgh.

I decided to start trying to draw again and I’ve gotten pretty into Steam Powered Giraffe lately, so this is the outcome of that. :x

Took me close to 4 hours, but it’s pretty huge… (18” x 24”) Not completely satisfied, but I’m too lazy to fix it— so instead I just added the “cutout” effect in Photoshop.
